Repayment solutions in customer's pocket

Customer Digital & Data team India delivered Repayment options on Barclays app making it easier for customers to take out a repayment plan for their Barclaycard arrears.

The new repayment solutions offer more options to customers, including plans which last up to six years. Customers can now input a plan offer amount basis their Monthly Disposable Income (MDI), and they will be presented with the most appropriate repayment plan.

Teams across Customer Digital & Data, Barclays Specialist Services and Product Technology collaborated to launch these features on Barclays award winning mobile app.

The workflow involved getting data from underlying database, using APIs, and presenting on the Barclays app. So far, more than 800 customers daily start their repayment journey through it.

Abhijit Kabra, Head of Digital - BGSC India, says, “With increased focus on simplifying customer journeys, this digital feature enables customers to manage their own arrears on the mobile app from the convenience of their homes and at their own time without having to visit the branch or call up the call center.”
